On Friday, 9th of May, year 3, 4 and 5
girls had the chance to go and play football. This was an exciting time for the
girls as there had never been a chance for girl’s football in school before. We
were led by Mrs Ironside, who had organised this fantastic football event. We
walked down to Barkingside in a hurry as we had left quite late! We made it in
time but still had to rush our lunch! After we had our lunch, we were split
into groups. The groups were based by what year we were in. Luckily we had our
friends so it wasn't so bad! We set off to our places and we learnt some skills
and drills that we had never learned before. Finally by the end of the day we
played some 3 minute matches with our groups. We switched and played other
teams, switch and play other teams. It was great fun! We had a great day and
enjoyed every bit of it although it was a long walk back!
